Summer Trip Part 1
I just got back from my trip home for a week and I thought I would share some photos. Today I'm sharing some pics of Marblehead lighthouse in Marblehead Ohio. Also a song written about the light by great lakes balladeer Lee Murdock, Called Deep Blue Horizon.
Oh
I was born a long time ago
when
this nation was new
and
wild was the shore
and
over the years
I
have seen many things
while
preforming my daily routine
in
the wind and the snow
in
the fog and the rain
its
a constant vigil that I have maintained
and
threw it all
my
light had to be trained
out
across the deep blue horizon
chorus:
I’ve
seen the tall ships that have passed by the shore
the
side wheeled steamers the whale backs and more
the
passenger packets the south bound loaders
and
even those noise cigarette boaters
but
all that I ask is don’t let me go blind
let
my light continue to shine
I
have seen the long faces of prisoners in gray
bound
for Johnson’s island in sandusky bay
and
lovers and familys out on holiday
enjoying
the deep blue horizon
and
I’ve seen the lake water
turn
from clear to green
from
pure to putrid and
then
back to clean
watch
the sky grow dark
from
the black beating wings
of
the geese on the yearly migrations
chorus
I’ve
seen many great storms that have pasted by this way
black
Friday and 13 and the armistice day
and
the big ones that took the Carl Bradly away
the
morel and the Edmund Fitzgerald
and
I've seen the rum runners
to
many to name
cast
shadows on the waves
from
the light of this flame
and
all the day sailors
out
staking there claim
all
the way to the deep blue horizon
chorus x2
there
were many like me
who
have passed on in time
their
lights where extinguished
while
still in their prime
and
a few are remembered
in
verse and in rhyme
but
most are a mere recollection
there's
so few of us left now
along
the lake shore
and
our salt water cousins
have
the same fate in store
were
all sentries of safety
just
casting our light
from
the past to the deep blue horizon
we've
seen the tall ships as they passed by these shores
the
side wheeled steamers the whale backs and more
the
passenger packets the south bound loaders
and
even those noise cigarette boaters
but
all that we ask is don’t let us go blind
let
our light continue to shine
and
all I should ask is don’t let them go blind
let
those lights continue to shine

New coaster in my life
This month for the first time i had the opportunity to ride Cheetah Hunt a triple launch coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa. It's such a well designed coaster I have to add it to my top 5 list. I'm not sure the order so stay tuned but here are a few pics of this awesome ride.

Board Game Review: Zombie in my Pocket
Zombie in my pocket is a amazing and fun print and play game for one player. It takes about 10 mins to learn and 10 mins to play. The player places tiles reveling rooms in a house and its yard while fighting off a zombie horde in an attempt to stop them before they stop you. The game mechanics are fun and easy to pick up. As you reveal a room you then have to play a card that will allow you to get an item or fight some zombies. as you play threw the deck time slips away. every time you have to shuffle the deck a hour passes, three hours pace and you lose that is unless you can find the totem and ditch it in the backyard graveyard. In short this game is fun fast takes up half the size of a tv tray to play on and the size of a credit card in storage space. I highly recommend it to anyone and if you don't like zombies there are several other versions people have made like pirates and meeples in my pocket. you can find the game at the link below.
Link to Board Game Geeks page the game files can be found about half way down the page in the secstion called files. http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/33468/zombie-in-my-pocket
